For an article in Swank Glossy magazine January/February 2010 issue, the designer posed together with one of his muses, Reyna Wardhana, where some of his collections also photographed behind them. Sapto Djojokartiko also told the magazine that gospel songs inspired him for his Joan Of Arc collection.

A velvet and lace top by the designer made appearance in a page of Clara magazine for their July 2010 edition. A nude high soled platform shoes also appeared in a fashion spread for the same issue.

Sapto Djojokartiko gave his vision on what would his 2010 collection be with this article in Kartika magazine January 2010 edition. He told the magazine that color distortion, bright colors (fuschia, yellow, turquise and red), modern, edgy and structured volume would appeared in his last year collection.

female Indonesia featured Sapto Djojokartiko on their “Fashion Beat” section where in the article you can learn that the designer who spent his childhood in Solo, Central Java landed a scholarship for fashion school Esmod Jakarta in 1997 and he almost got expelled.

He was Oscar Lawalatta’s assistant designer, a costume designer and a makeup artist before finding his passion to be a womenswear designer. He was partnered with Reshna for a clothing line in 2000 until 2007.

His turning point was when actress and his best friend, Dian Sastrowardoyo (she helped Sapto to applied sequins) wore his designs and introduced to her friends. Editorial shoots and custom made dresses requests increasing ever since.
